Wildseeds: The New Orleans Octavia Butler Emergent Strategy Collective is excited to bring the co-editors of the groundbreaking anthology, Octavia’s Brood—adrienne maree brown and Walidah Imarisha—to New Orleans to celebrate their book release. Join the editors for a transformative dialogue on science fiction and social justice, as they share stories and questions to help us imagine and create a more just future.
The New Orleans book release party will also feature live musical performances and readings from local writers and anthology writers. Stay tuned for the full line-up! At the release party, you will be able to purchase a copy of the anthology and have it signed by the editors.
This book release is in conjunction with Wildseeds’ Black Futures Fest: A Celebration of the Black Fantastic, which takes place May 28-31, 2015 in New Orleans.
